Google este cel mai sonor nume din internet care isi ofera tot continutul si IPv6 clientilor. Este adevarat ca o fac folosind metoda DNS whitelisting, deci nu raspund cu inregistrari de tip AAAA (ipv6) decat cererilor venite de la DNS-uri adaugate de ei anterior intr-un “whitelist“, insa sprijina si sustin trecerea la IPv6 si asta e un lucru foarte important. Mai mult decat atat, au un interes extrem de mare in a se folosi IPv6 nativ ci nu CGN (Carrier Grade NAT) pentru ca le-ar afecta foarte tare publicitatea bazata pe “geolocation“.
Zilele trecute am observat ca pentru DNS-urile lor publice (8.8.8.8 si 8.8.4.4) exista acum si inregistrari AAAA deci pot fi accesate direct pe IPv6.

Asta e un lucru extrem de bun pentru clientii care folosesc deja IPv6. Din pacate insa, DNS-urile lor publice nu sunt adaugate propriul “whitelist” si asta inseamna ca daca le vom folosi, chiar si cu adresele IPv6, vom accesa tot continutul Google/ Youtube doar pe IPv4. Asteptam urmatorul pas din partea lor.

daca si-ar trece dns-urile v6 in whitelist atunci un dns cu v6 ar putea face forward la zonele lui google la dns-urile publice v6 ale lui google si nu ar mai avea nevoie sa fie trecut el insusi in whitelist.

@Adi: sugestive link-urile tale, multumesc de info. eu am descoperit IPv6 pe DNS-urile Google pur intamplator zilele trecute desi foloseam 8.8.8.8 si 8.8.4.4 de cativa ani.
Vad ca si Comcast ofera de doua luni (30.08.11) DNS-uri IPv6 pentru clientii lor:

din pacate nu pot fi folosite decat de clientii lor (firesc de altfel):

Comcast asa face, stiu de la unchiul meu care locuieste in SUA si are internet de la ei, din pacate pe reteaua lor nu poti sa faci chiar tot ce vrei, nici macar sa-ti pui propiul router asa cum se intampla in reteaua RDS de exemplu.
